History

West Penn Aggregates was formed in 1990 to supply contractors, masons, landscapers, municipalities, and home owners in the northern and northwestern Greater Pittsburgh areas with quality materials at competitive, wholesale pricing. Our service area is Butler, Lawrence, Beaver, and northwestern Allegheny counties. Cities and boroughs included in the service area are Aliquippa, Coraopolis, Cranberry Township, Robinson Township, Mars, and New Castle.

West Penn Aggregates

West Penn Aggregates was formed by the McClymonds Supply & Transit Group to source aggregate and landscape materials at wholesale rates via backhaul truck delivery. The original material yard is located in Portersville, PA, between Butler and New Castle, near the intersection of Route 422 and I-79.

Since 2006, West Penn Aggregates has been affiliated with Crystal Landscape Supply in Mars, PA. In 2009, WPA acquired a material yard and barge unloading dock in Crescent Township, PA. The dock facility was acquired from Ennstone, Inc., successor by merger to Three Rivers Aggregates, Inc.

The Crescent facility comprises a 12 acre yard and a 525 foot, 6 barge dock located at mile marker 14.5 of the Ohio River. The Crescent facility allowed WPA to achieve wholesale pricing through bulk barge delivery. During the last several years, WPA has greatly expanded its product line to include specialty items such as double-ground, dyed mulch, decorative stones, mushroom manure, rip rap, cold patch, geotextile rolls, and more! The Crescent location is undergoing upgrades to become friendlier to residential customers.
